The event was held to promote the dynamism, innovation and excellence of French business schools to Brazilian students. One of the goals was to facilitate connections between those interested in studying in France and schools that can provide this experience.
Geneviève Poulingue, SKEMA Brazil's dean, Professor Karen Haas Dornas, academic director of the BBA and three BBA students represented SKEMA Brazil during the event. They presented the school, the Brazilian campus and the students shared experiences about their academic journey at SKEMA, from a local perspective. They also answered questions from the audience concerning studying abroad with a focus on France.
“It was a great opportunity, representing my school as a student at the Campus France event. If I was a student looking for opportunities to develop an international career and increase my contact with other cultures, I would definitely appreciate hearing the experiences of others that share the same dream as mine. This gives more security for future students and also provides space for current students to express themselves and represent their school”, explained Sabrina Rigamonte, one of the BBA students that participated at the event.
Campus France
Campus France is an official agency of the French government that is responsible for promoting French higher education. In more than 110 countries, Campus France’s activities in Belo Horizonte, Brazil began in 2017, aiming to reach people from all of the Minas Gerais state. Among their activities, they help candidates apply for French programmes, following up on their applications.
