The programme will include seven speakers, thirteen tutors, two three-hour multi-site face-to-face conferences, inter-campus debates by videoconference, three hours of tutorial coaching, and independent individual work.
In five days, students will have to:
- Devise a business opportunity and give it practical form with a realistic service offer
- Materialise a service offer: an intangible good (e.g. TV on demand) as opposed to a manufactured material good (product, e.g. an Internet box).
- Innovate: the offer must meet a need that is not covered at present
- Create sustainably: with a positive impact on climate change
The angle chosen this year is to fight against climate change… in the kitchen!
Diego Pani (chef at the Marco Polo 1960 Restaurant, Ventimiglia - moderator), Jean Montagard (honorary professor of cookery; chef and founder of the first organic vegetarian restaurant in France), Daniel Bartement (lecturer, Montpellier 3 University, co-manager of the Master’s in Tourism and the Sustainable Development of Territories) and Daniel Le Blay (deputy mayor, urban planning, Mouans-Sartoux town hall) will contribute their views and join in discussions at the round-table entitled “Fighting climate change in the kitchen" on Friday, 25 September, 8am to 11.30am.

“As soon as they enter SKEMA, students are immersed in a creative challenge that demands a powerful ability to innovate in order to transform their environment. The services outlined during these five days could be a basis for entrepreneurial projects. The underlying objective is also to encourage group work and use different tools to express oneself," says Diego Zunino, assistant professor, strategy and entrepreneurship at SKEMA, who coordinates and leads the scheme.
The students' projects will take the form of a pitch accompanied by a video. The best ones from the campuses will be selected by a local jury. The pitches of the three finalists will take place in multiplex form on Thursday, 25 September, from 1.15pm to 1.45pm during the inter-campus final, before the awards ceremony scheduled at 2.45pm (in Lille, Paris and Sophia Antipolis).
