SKEMA's spring 2020 academic session began on January 6. More than 450 students from the BBA, MSc programmes and international exchange programmes participated in the inaugural class for students starting their studies with a January intake.

They were addressed by Dean Alice Guilhon, campus directors and various academic heads.

The inaugural class used huge video-conferencing screens to link up six of our campuses so that SKEMA's students and staff on our worldwide campuses could be brought together for this event.

"You're joining a fast-growing network of alumni. Make the most of it and develop your contacts by interacting with students and faculty from different campuses," said Raluca Sandu, associate dean of Globalisation Academy, who was on the Paris campus.

From SKEMA in Brazil, campus director Genevieve Poulingue and Anna Julia, a BBA student, explained what students can look forward to while studying at the Belo Horizonte campus.

Gisa Rollin, development director, speaking from the Raleigh campus, highlighted the unique learning experience students get through the school's partnership with NC State University and access to facilities such as the James B. Hunt Jr. Library.

"We will encourage you to see the world differently and get a truly global experience. Every year, more than 1,000 companies, leaders and entrepreneurs come to SKEMA to interact with students. Many of these representatives are SKEMA alumni. Make the best use of these opportunities," said Patrice Houdayer, vice dean of programmes, speaking from the Lille campus in the north of France..
