MSc Global Luxury Management: new Paris study tour

Published on 09 May 2016

From the next academic year (2016-17), the MSc Global Luxury Management will have its second semester on the SKEMA Paris campus. This will allow the programme to take full advantage of being located in the world's luxury capital - one of these perks for students will be the Paris study tour.

The Paris study tour will involve behind-the-scenes visits to some of the world's most famous luxury flagship stores and companies. Students will get to meet with managers, build their network, and learn what it's like -and what it takes- to work for one of the big luxury brands.

Luxury History: learning tour in Paris

Learning tour in Paris will be done with the director of the programme and combines visits and a guided tour with a manager of the company in the Parisian luxury temples.

The Luxury History: learning tour of Paris will give students an insider's look into Paris's exclusive and exciting world of luxury.

The plan is to include many of the following companies:
  • Louis Vuitton flagship store and its Espace Culturelle (personal luxury);
  • Alaia and Givenchy: flagship stores in Avenue Montaigne (personal luxury);
  • Le Bon Marché epicerie (experiential luxury);
  • Hèrmes museum (personal luxury);
  • L'Eclaireur Hérold (personal luxury);
  • Baccarat museum (experiential luxury);
  • Guerlain flagship store (personal luxury);
  • Le Grand Colbert (experiential luxury);
  • Mama Shelter (experiential luxury);
  • Palais Galliera (personal luxury);
  • Merci (personal/ experiential luxury);
  • Apple store (experiential luxury);
  • Aesop (personal/ experiential luxury);
  • Parfums Frédéric Malle (personal luxury);

The above list is not definitive, it is the current plan that is being developed.
