SKEMA to host inaugural 'SKEMA Global Risks Meetings' on September 28

In an interconnected world with a globalised economy, understanding and anticipating geopolitical and economic risks are essential for businesses. In this context, SKEMA Business School, through the SKEMA Centre for Global Risks, is organising two roundtable discussions on September 28, 2023. They will bring together experts, researchers, and professionals to address these themes from various angles.

​​Led by professors Rodolphe Desbordes, professor of economics and Frédéric Munier, a professor of geopolitics at SKEMA, and Rodolphe Desbordes, a professor of economics, the first edition of the "SKEMA Global Risks Meetings" will feature experts from academia as well as leaders from internationally recognised institutions (OECD, CNRS, for example). The event will be divided into two parts, with a focus on "friendshoring" and "reshoring" for each of the roundtables, respectively.

Rodolphe Desbordes and Frédéric Munier will introduce the event alongside Patrice Houdayer, executive vice president of SKEMA Business School.

5:15 pm – 6:05 pm: Roundtable 1 - "What is Friendshoring?"

  • ​A new indicator, the Interstate Conflictual Relations Index, will be launched to measure interstate tensions in real-time.
